We’re excited to share some great news—INNOVOTEX has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Biomedical Pitch Competition hosted by the Boston Capital Investment Club (BCIC)!

This highly regarded competition connects cutting-edge biomedical startups with a global network of over 10,000 professionals across venture capital, finance, and healthcare innovation. To date, BCIC’s network has helped early-stage companies raise more than $100 million in collective funding.

“We’re honored for the opportunity to share NOVO-111 with such a global and strategic audience,” said Jonathan Arambula, Ph.D., CEO of INNOVOTEX. “BCIC’s recognition of our data and platform is incredibly validating, and we’re looking forward to building connections that can accelerate our mission.”

Platinum-based chemotherapies—like cisplatin and oxaliplatin—have been a mainstay of cancer treatment for decades. But they come with serious challenges:

  • Toxic side effects in up to 70% of patients
  • Resistance develops in ~90% of cases
  • <1% of the drug actually reaches the tumor
  • Long-term neuropathy and permanent kidney failure that forces many to stop treatment

And while antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have made great strides in targeted delivery, they’ve never been able to deliver platinum.

NOVO-111 is INNOVOTEX’s lead candidate and is driven by a strong KOL demand for targeted platinum treatments. NOVO-111 was designed using our proprietary Macrocycle Drug Conjugate (MDC)platform. It combines:

  • An expanded porphyrin macrocycle to selectively target tumors
  • A lipophilic platinum(IV) prodrug designed to overcome resistance and reduce toxicity

What we’ve seen so far is promising:

✅ >10x increase in tumor targeting
✅ >60% tumor regression
✅ >95% tumor growth inhibition
✅ Up to 35x higher tumor uptake
✅ Significant reduction in side effects

Our goal? Help patients stay on treatment longer, with better outcomes and fewer side effects.

We’re a Texas-based biotech company developing a new class of Macrocycle Drug Conjugates (MDCs) for the treatment of solid tumors. With our first-in-class compound, NOVO-111, we aim to disrupt the status quo of platinum chemotherapy by targeting drug-resistant cancers with safer, more effective therapeutics.
